My daughter made this clipboard at the beginning of the school year. She couldn't find one that she liked, so she made her own! The second picture is a 5x5 journal I did with Concord Crush paper and ribbon from SU!

This is one of my first projects using the SU!(c) My Digital Studio. All details are on my blog. I am loving this digital software. It is very easy to use and has all my favorite SU!(c) colors and products.

Here is a magnetic bookmark that I made using some of the new colors from SU! (c). I really liked making this. What a neat project! All details are on my blog.

Here are some gifts I made for Mother's Day and Father's Day. It was my first time making a chipboard album and a book out of 3 pieces of 12x12 paper. All details and more photos are on my blog.

Here is a gift I made for our niece. I love making stuff for her. She is such a cool kid. : ) I used SU! Melon Mambo classic ink, Basic Black classic ink, Neutrals markers (Basic Black and Basic Grey), In-Color Marker (Melon Mambo), Large Star punch, A Little Somethin' stamp set, and Extreme Elements stamp set. I used my die-cutting machine for the letters. The frame was purchased at a local retail store.

Here are some Christmas ornaments we made this year. Totally scraplifted both ideas from some very talented ladies!  : )

We got to do a Flat Stanley project! It was so much fun. My DD picked out the outfit for him and we designed him together. We took him with us on all our travels for about two weeks before sending him back to our niece.

February 9, 2009

I made this for my cousin and his bride shortly after they were married. I have been dying to give it to them since. I used the program, note cards, and the bookmarks their friends made. I used Storybook for the scrolls and the word 'ALWAYS'. I framed it in a 12x12 shadowbox frame. TFL!

January 25, 2009

As you can see on my January 10th post, I am addicted to creating things with vinyl. Well, I made this for my niece's door. It was part of her BDay present. Her room was recently redecorated in dark pink, black, and white, and she's into the rocker-chic stuff. She is awesome at guitar playing and can even create chords of her own and she is only 11!! Anyway, here are some pics of how it turned out.

This card was made using quite a few cartridges. I cannot remember them all, but I know Celebrations, Zooballoo, and Makin' the Grade were used. Learning Curve may have been another one. The football was created using Design Studio. I took two hearts and welded them together at the tops to make the football.

Let me say THANK YOU! to ThePinkStamper !!! Thank you, Robyn, for posting your Cricut tutorial videos so others can make cool creations and not be so frustrated in doing so. Thanks to her, my hubby and I made these cool glasses for a Chinese Christmas that we were going to. We glass etched the phrase "Cheers" on four different wine glasses with four different languages. I couldn't put a picture of the fourth on here because the saying was in Zulu and wrapped around the whole glass - making it hard to see. Cheers in Zulu is "Oogy Wawa". According to the internet, anyway. It made for some good laughs and my friend was so excited that she picked these and they weren't stolen from her.

This project has got to be one of my favorites. I totally scraplifted it from someone online and I hate to say I cannot remember who to give credit to. I used Wall Pops and, of course, my Cricut. Gotta love Cricut Design Studio. It enabled me to make the coffee mugs.

I've been playing some more.... LOL. You can see what I did to the front of my Big Bug in my original post below. Here is what the back of my Big Bug looks like now on the back. I think I am now addicted to vinyl...

And here's what my DD's laptop looks like:

I will have more photos to post in the upcoming week or so.  I have another vinyl project done but it has to be put up on a door before I can take pics.

Details for Cricut Tree Card

This was my first ever Cricut Card.  I made it about 7 months ago or so.  I made it using the Accent Essentials (AE) and Plantin Schoolbook (PS) cartridges.

Materials needed:
Dark green paper
Light green paper
Light brown paper (for base of card)
Brown paper
Muted yellow paper
Adhesive
Brown ink pad
Green ink pad

From AE: The leaves were made from the 5 scallop circles, the acorns I made using a leaf and a circle.  All shapes were done using the shadow feature.  I cut the trunk of the tree by hand and drew lines on it to make it look real.  I used Stampin' Up! craft ink spots to add depth and texture to the tree.  After inking the scalloped circles, overlap them until you are satisfied with the fullness of top of the tree.  The acorns were created by turning the individual leaves that were cut out upside down.  Cut the circles in half and ink with brown ink.  These are the tops of the acorns.  I cannot remember the sizes I used to cut any of this out.  I never thought I would make it this far so I didn't realize how important those would be...  oops.  I promise to do better next time.  : )

From PS: For the grass, I cut multiple long strips of grass and then cut them to size for the card.  I layered them to add some dimension.  I covered the edges using a VersaMark marker which brings out the color of the paper some more.  After the acorns were made, I put them in between grass blades to make it look more life like.

For the inside of the card, I printed the sentiment on regular computer paper then inked the edges with dark brown ink.  I place it on the inside of the card and then added some grass and acorns on top of it.

These are my favorite Cricut projects so far:

I made one of these for my Father and one for my Uncle. It is of their Dad when he was in the military. I thought this was a nice tribute to my Grandfather.

I made one of these for my Mother-in-Law and one for her sister. It is of their Dad. He passed away when they were both very young and I wanted to make a tribute for them.

FUN STUFF:

I have just found vinyl!!! I am having so much fun making stuff with my Cricut and vinyl and/or Wall Pops (basically vinyl but much cheaper).

Here is the Cricut bug I made for my Cricut Expression machine. He was so fun to make! I got the instructions from a fellow Cricut mb member.

Here's what I did to my laptop... I used the Storybook cartridge and Wall Pops...

I have some other projects I've done but have to fiddle with the pictures first before I post them.

Thanks for looking!
